The Hamptons is a finished, family-first neighbourhood in west Edmonton. Mostly detached homes and duplexes built since the early 2000s, it wraps around storm lakes and a connected pathway system. A public K–9 school and a Catholic K–9 school sit inside the neighbourhood. It suits move-up families wanting an established west-end address, minutes from Anthony Henday Drive and Whitemud Drive.

My local favorites in The Hamptons

  • The Hamptons lakes & pathway loop — storm lakes and connected paths through the neighbourhood.
  • Hampton Market — everyday shopping in the 199 Street / 62 Avenue area.
  • The Grange District Park — the district park beside the neighbourhood.
  • Lois Hole Library & the Callingwood YMCA — a short drive east.
  • West Edmonton Mall — east via Whitemud Drive.

Insider tips for The Hamptons

  • Essentially built out. No construction phases left around most streets.
  • First-replacement window. Most homes are 2000s–2010s, so furnaces, hot-water tanks and shingles are entering their first replacement window.
  • Check the homeowners' association fee. Parts of The Hamptons carry a homeowners' association fee — confirm the current fee and coverage on the specific property.
  • Designation is by exact address. Both K–9 schools sit inside the neighbourhood, but designation is by exact address — verify the street.

Who The Hamptons suits

  • Move-up families staying in the west end.
  • Downsizers who want to stay west — duplex options near Glastonbury and Callingwood amenities.
  • Sellers — established-area scarcity works in your favour.
